Banana George Cheers for the Junior Barefoot World Team
Banana George arrived back in Florida just in time to watch members of the Junior World Team train on Winter Haven's Lake Florence. George has been watching the action and cheering the group on from his back patio. Here he is pictured in front of his yellow (of course) boathouse with team members Elaine and Shannon Heller as well as their brother, Cody, who is entering the tournament as an independent. Coach Lane Bowers stands in the back row beside Cody.
The team will be in Otaki, New Zealand for the tournament which takes place from January 26 to February 1.
Also pictured, our favorite in-house photographer (also USA Waterski's official photographer) Lynn Novakovski with his grandson, Jonathan. Lynn is looking forward to his impending induction into the Water Ski Hall of Fame. He introduced Banana George when George was inducted back in 1991. "I am thrilled to be joining my favorite barefooter into the Hall of Fame," Lynn told us. |
